Dad day
Today ended up being kind of interesting. I had thought that we would do a little more, but the birthday party kind of broke things up. To start at the beginning, we ran out this morning and I got the errands of the day taken care of – a return at Pier 1, a trip to the library, and a visit to the Christian bookstore to clear up an invoice. Then we got home and everyone rested, and then the wheels kind of came off. I knew there was the birthday party, but I didn’t quite realize what that would do to the day. I had to come back home to feed Paige, and then it didn’t make sense to go out (especially with the Michigan game on). My big plan for the afternoon was to go to TCBY for a snack, but the TCBY by us apparently is closed for good. At that point, Paige had to go down for a nap, so I couldn’t go anywhere else. The only problem in the evening was that I didn’t quite leave enough time for dinner, so we got a little rushed. But overall, the whole day went very well – I was just a little surprised by the flow of it.
